Employee in this position is responsible for monitoring flow process in the Wet and /or Dry Plant, document temperatures, moisture levels, and making modifications as needed to meet production specifications. Uses on-board computer and automated equipment. Requires knowledge of hands-on operations, including truck load-out, logs for particulate monitors, pressure drop readings and dust control.
Key Accountabilities
- Accurately conduct pre-shift inspections daily
- Inspects process area and equipment prior to beginning of shift and document as required
- Knowledgeable with decant belt and gate operation, conveyors, surge bins, dryers, screens, bucket elevators, dust collectors and other dry process equipment.
- Load trucks to specified weight using computer loading program
- Collect sand, sieve, size and test for turbidity. For quality control and assurance
- Visually inspect trucks from on top; looking for any contamination. Contamination could be but not limited to sand, concrete, asphalt, fertilizer, grain and resin dust.
- Record truck/trailer information on truck tickets accurately
- Ensure scale tickets are completed with appropriate information.
- Ability to work in high stress, fast paced environment
- Responsible for general housekeeping throughout loadout, conveyors, and silos using dingo, skid steer, brush, and brooms/shovels.
- Communicate with truck drivers as required.
- May perform some maintenance and housekeeping tasks as required to include screen and filter maintenance.
- Makes any necessary process and/or control adjustments to meet production targets or product quality specifications.
- Work with Team Lead Operator for production planning.
- Adheres to all Gen6 Proppants safety and environmental requirements and participates in program development and reviews.
- Perform duties in compliance with all associated regulations (MSHA, OSHA, etc.) which include documentation and reporting for each regulation.
- Collects operating data and records data on daily log sheets whether paper or computer files.
- May operate other plants and equipment as required.
- Performs special projects and job-related duties as assigned.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including the ability to recognize saturations in which confidentiality is required.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with company managers, coworkers, clients, contractors, vendors and the public.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge in silica sand mine, MSHA Part 49, OSHA regulation and compliance.
- Knowledge of dry sand mine process flow including experience with all mining equipment in operations.

- Good communication skills
