Hapas Sushi & Poke is a newly opening business located in the Hukilau marketplace at the Polynesian Cultural Center. This is not a mobile food truck, but a beautifully designed food kiosk. Are you tired of working in a hot kitchen? If so, this fully air-conditioned enclosed kiosk might just be the perfect fit for you. We are seeking someone with a good attitude who is willing to learn and is a reliable hard worker. Primarily you will be doing prep and making poke bowls with the opportunity to learn sushi. Experience is always preferred, but is not required. So if you have a passion for food, are willing to learn, and able to work fast, we’d be happy to train you for the job. Responsibilities of cooks include but are not limited to:
● Preparing raw ingredients for use during service
● Consistent execution of recipes and a high standard for quality
● Understand and ensure that all safety and sanitation guidelines are met and followed.
● Assist in cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
● Able to take and follow directions
● Able to work in a tight fit kitchen
● Conducts herself in a professional manner

Qualifications:
● Previous experience in a fast paced restaurant is preferred but not required
● Must have basic knowledge of cooking techniques and procedures, kitchen equipment and food safety handling procedures
● Works and communicates well with other employees, works independently, follows
directions, and keeps a positive attitude. Crying and sensitivity is not tolerated
● Cleanliness is of the utmost importance
● MUST BE RELIABLE AND PUNCTUAL. NO EXCUSES
● Comply with all company policies and requirements
● Must possess valid TB clearance and Food Handlers Certificate

Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience
