We are seeking experienced Full & Part-Time Grill, Saute, Pantry and Pastry cooks.

The ideal candidate for this position

Minimum 2 years experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required, culinary training / degree preferred.

What you will be doing

Summary: Responsible for food preparation and performing basic kitchen responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant by performing the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Has specific culinary station knowledge pertaining to the specific job applying for.

2. Reads and prepares menu items as ordered by customers according to portion control and quality standards of the menu.

3. Follows specific recipes and instructions to prepare menu items using basic kitchen equipment and preparatory utensils.

4. Prepares food items according to recipes, instructions and customer orders, and follows food handling and safety requirements.

5. Retrieves ingredients from appropriate areas by lifting and carrying to food preparation area.

6. Communicates shortage of menu items to Kitchen Manager immediately.

7. Unloads deliveries from truck and places in appropriate storage areas by lifting and carrying boxes.

8. Stores incoming food shipments properly in storeroom maintains storeroom in a neat, orderly manner and ensures all food items are stored at the appropriate temperatures.

9. Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times.

10. Completes opening and closing duties in accordance with approved procedures

11. Reports any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.

Who you will be working with

This position reports directly to the hotel's Chef de Cuisine. You will also be working in close contact with the Banquet Chef and Pastry Chef.
