SUMMARY:

**PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE**

PREPARE AND COOK HIGH QUALITY HOT AND COLD FOODS FOR RESIDENTS, GUESTS, AND EMPLOYEES OF THE FACILILY IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL AND STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT GUIDELINES AND THE STANDARDS SET FORTH BY THE FACILITY BY PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED WITH REASONABLE ACCOMODATIONS:

-KNOWLEDGEABLE OF AND UTILIZES A VARIETY OF COOKING AND FOOD PREPARATION EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUES.

-ADJUSTS RECIPES TO YIELD THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF SERVINGS IF NECESSARY.

-COOKS ACORDING TO RECIPES AND RECOMMENDS CHANGES IN RECIPES IF NEEDED.

-PREPARES AND COOKS FOOD IN BATCHES MAINTAINING HIGH QUALITY AND APPEAL.

-PORTIONS FOOD ACCURATELY.

-INSPECTS FOOD AND FOOD PREPARATION TO MAINTAIN QUAILTY STANDARDS, TEMPERATURE STANDARDS, AND SANITATION REGULATIONS AND CONDUCTS DAILY LINE CHECKS.

-MAINTAINS WORK AREA IN A CLEAN AND ORDERLY CONDITION. CLEANS UP AFTER PREPARATION OF FOODS.

-COMPLIES WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH REGULATIONS, AS WELL AS THE FACILITY'S POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR FOOD HANDLING AND STORAGE.

-REPORTS TO WORK AS SCHEDULED IN A CLEAN, NEAT UNIFORM.

-PROVIDES EXPLANATION OF FOOD TO SERVERS.

-WORKS WITH TEAM MEMBERS WHO ASSIST IN PREPARING AND COOKING FOOD.

-GARNISHES AND DECORATES DISHES PREPARATORY TO SERVING TO ENHANCE PRESENTATION.

-COOKS MEALS FOR TENANTS IF THEY HAVE SPECIAL DIET NEEDS OR REQUESTS.

-CONDUCTS NIGHTLY PRE-MEAL WITH STAFF.

-COOKS FOOD FOR CARRY OUT MEALS.

-ATTENDS EDUCATIONAL TRAINING/ IN-SERVICES AS REQUIRED.

-MUST MAINTAIN SERVSAFE CERTIFICATION AND OTHER CERTIFICATIONS TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH DEPARTMENT.

-PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DEPARTMENT TASKS AS ASSIGNED. SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

-KNOWLEDGABLE OF AND IMPLEMENTS ALL SAFETY, UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS, AND COMPANY POLICIES/PROCEDURES FOR THE PROTECTION OF TENANTS, COWORKERS, AND SELF.

PHYSICAL, COGNITIVE, AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

-WALKING, REACHING, BENDING, LIFITING, GRASPING, PUSHING, PULLING, AND PROLONGED STANDING.

-ABILITIY TO DISTINGUISH SMELLS, TASTES, AND TEMPERATURES.

-ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH TENANTS AND PERSONNEL.

-ABILITY TO REMAIN CALM UNDER STRESS.

-ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE IN ENGLISH.

-ABILITY TO DEMONSTRATE PATIENCE, TACT, COURTESY, ENTHUSIASM, AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
