Bellerive Country Club is seeking several
Lifeguards to join our team for the 2023 swim season. The
Lifeguard will implement all water safety policies and procedures. Supervises members and guests in and around the swimming pool.

Job Requirements:
- Vacuums pool bottom and empties automatic skimmer, skim bugs, and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use.
- Administers care for swimmers’ minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises.
- Maintains amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
- Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the Pool Manager and Swim Coach.
- Enforces rules of conduct at the pool.
- Checks first aid supplies and reports needed items.
- Places the rescue tube and ring buoy on the lifeguard chair in the morning; returns these and all swimming aids and pool toys to the lifeguard locker when the pool closes.
- Straightens the pool and cabana areas at the end of the day.
- Maintains all necessary records determined by the Pool Manager and Swim Coach.
- Attends all meetings as directed by the Pool Manager and Swim Coach.
- Implements all pool safety equipment.
- Performs required pool pre-opening duties.
- Informs the Pool Manager and Swim Coach about any unresolved member or guest disruptions that could cause a safety problem.
- Executes scanning procedures to ensure a safe pool space.
- Always prepared to execute the Emergency Action Plan.
- Other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Pool Manager and Swim Coach or other members of the Club leadership team.
Qualifications / Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent or in the pursuit thereof.
- Valid Red Cross Lifeguard certificate preferred. If not, training will be provided.
- American Red Cross Basic First Aid required, training on AED units and possession of a current Red Cross CPR card.
- Ability to swim required; able to swim laps and dive to the bottom of the pool.
