PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Autism Spectrum Engagement program including development of the programs structure, facilitation and implementation of the programs activities and schedule, oversight and training of program staff and the overall well-being / life enhancement of program participants. The ASE Supervisor must promote a positive and optimistic environment that is responsive to the needs of the individuals served, the staff providing the services, and that reflects the mission of the organization. Ensures that policies, procedures and practices are in full compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Utilize a team approach for hiring with consideration to factors of: skill, knowledge, integrity, capacity to learn, conflict resolution, and motivation for working in the field, along with the recognition of the need to complement the existing team.
- Train, supervise and provide performance evaluations for Direct Support Providers enabling them to provide the highest quality of supports and inclusion to the individuals served.
- Establish, implement and sustain core program structure with consistent evaluation and substitution of appropriate ancillary activities, including community inclusion.
- Maintain open and collaborative relationships with support services including the Clinical Services Team in order to fully support applied behavioral analysis approaches to learning and modification.
- Provide leadership to ASE program, including team building, maintenance of relationships to/with stakeholders, development of connections to community based entities
- Works cooperatively with all LifePath staff to ensure that programs/services offered enhance the quality of life of individuals receiving services.
- Provide input to the service planning process, conducting regular skill and preference assessment and well as recommendations for participant program goal implementation.
- Stay abreast of trends and best practice related to disability services, specifically within the field of Autism.
- Maintains annual American Heart Association certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Successfully completes Little City Foundation required training, re-training, and any additional training as required by Little City Foundation policies and practices, or as assigned by his or her immediate supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelors Degree in human services field & a minimum of three (3) years of management experience in the provision of services for persons with developmental disabilities are preferred. Knowledge of and experience in working with regulatory agencies and funding sources, including DHS and CARF standards required. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and exhibit effective communication skills, both written and oral. Must be proficient in the use of technology (assistive / communicative devices, iPads or other tablets, computers, software applications, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office). Valid Illinois drivers license with good driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to sitting, walking, and standing for prolonged periods; frequently grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working with persons served and handling office, medical, or household equipment. The employee is subject to assist and lift up to 30 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a reoccurring basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Must have the ability to perform CPR and CPI. Generally, no occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases or other potentially infectious substances, but may require performing unplanned Category III tasks (Category II).
