The Team Lead will drive the growth strategy for Equitable’s Life business, by developing and leading a high-performance squad that will continuously innovate Life insurance new business product based solutions with a primary objective of "Accumulation", such as Equitable’s VUL Optimizer, COIL Institutional Series and the investment options available within the offerings. The focus will be on solutions that can increase sales of traditional Life Financial Professionals, as well as ideate solutions that work in new markets for financial professionals that typically focus on any and all wealth accumulation products (not just Life Insurance). Core activities include assessing Life and other financial markets to determine opportunities to not only maintain competitive position but to develop new solutions. Determine pricing and implementation feasibility with solutions that balance policy owner and shareholder value. Develop business cases, obtain approval, and build pipeline of innovative solutions.
The Team Lead will be a critical part of New Ways Of Working (NWOW) at Equitable, working closely with the Tribe Lead and the Life Protection Solutions squad using an Agile methodology / NWOW principles. He or she will co-create the Team vision and goals with the Team , and will proactively guide the Team towards these goals under a test-and-learn culture that entails MVP delivery, innovation, frequent engagement with customers and stakeholders, and continuous iteration.

- Co-create and review quarterly OKRs both committed and moonshot with the team that align to strategy
The base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $156,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Agile experience
- Experience in managing the backlog, prioritizing value based on understanding the customers, tracking value
- Deep experience leading with teams in an agile setting
- Experience in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.)

Skills
- Success working in an Agile environment
- 5+ years of hands-on work experience in the financial or insurance industry
- Experience with the strategic designing of insurance-based solutions for clients and financial professionals
- Knowledge of investment portfolios, commonly referred to as “funds” or subaccounts typically available on Variable Universal Life insurance and other financial services products.
- Is a collaborative problem solver with ability to gather, analyze and synthesize a significant amount of information, and turn it into a compelling product vision
- Self-starting with ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a demanding environment
- Solid verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to all levels of the organization
- Ability to facilitate learning and development through individual and team coaching
- Ability to drive the adaption of NWOW / Agile practices and conduct Ceremonies: daily huddle, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint demo
