As the successful Licensing Specialist you will use your in-depth understanding of state compliance and carrier appointment rules and guidelines to process resident and non-resident licensing and carrier appointments for our insurance and customer service agents. In addition to providing routine customer support to the agency, the role provides knowledge, ensures understanding of company guidelines, state insurance regulations, and carrier appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating, completing and monitoring the professional insurance licensing and appointing process for Answer Financial agents, in accordance with state regulations and company guidelines.
- Process license requests to ensure the licensing and appointment status is reflected accurately in company systems and meets state and compliance requirements.
- Maintains accurate data in internal and external systems, ensures integrity of data.
- Follow-up with appropriate parties in regard to state and carrier required information and documentation.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with agents, and internal and external customers.
- Comply with state laws and regulations.
- Handles confidential information with the highest professional standards.
- Completes special projects and performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines and requests.
Experience/Abilities/Education:
- 2+ years experience in insurance licensing and carrier appointments, required.
- Experienced working with multiple computer systems, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and prioritization skills are a must.
- Exceptional ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
- Requires a commitment to provide excellent customer service within a fast-paced environment.
- Consistently meet department goals and standards for quality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Desire and success working in a 100% remote-work from home environment
- High School diploma or GED, required.
