Safely Home is a children's residential center, licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Our mission is to bring healing and growth to children with histories of behavior problems who have experiences emotional & physical abuse.Our primary goal is the reunification of each child with a family who will offer him/her a safe and loving home environment.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the Therapists include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develops and implements the Individual Service Plan (ISP) for each child on their caseload: involves the client, the client’s parents and referring or custody holding agency as well as those from the other disciplines in this process.
  • Develops a therapeutic relationship with each client and his family.
  • Provides individual, group and family therapy, as well as crisis management to each client and his family.
  • Prepares the client and family for placement.
  • Maintains on-going frequent contact with the referring agency and parents throughout placement.
  • Maintain a regularly schedule shift that includes 8-12 contact hours per week with clients in milieu to provide consistency.
  • Prepares the agenda and serves as the main presenter of information at all conferences regarding children on their caseload.
  • Attends all team meetings pertaining to clients on their caseloads and gives clinical direction to unit staff.
  • Arranges all visits for each client.
  • Co-chairs the weekly unit team meeting.
  • Coordinates all services delivered by the treatment team to ensure that the client’s Individual Service Plan (ISP) is optimized and provides feedback to all disciplines.
  • Records all case conferences, treatment summaries, and statistics and submits all paperwork as required by the agency in a timely manner.
  • Formulates and implements post-placement planning in conjunction with the referring agency and parents.
  • Assumes a strong advocate role for those children in need of permanency planning.
  • Assists in the in-service training of members of the treatment team.
  • Attends all other meetings as scheduled and required by the agency.
  • Attends conferences and workshops to maintain professional competency and licensure
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

This position requires a Master’s Degree from an accredited school of Social Work or Equivalent training in a related field such as psychology, counseling, etc. Prefer experience in treatment of children & adolescents. Licensure by the State of Ohio, Counselor and Social Work Board.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
