Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent (Spanish Bilingual Preferred)
Job description
To provide financial consulting services to assist current and new customers with identifying their financial goals and objectives. Acts as a catalyst for the promotion and growth of State Farm products and services. Recommends appropriate mixture(s) of insurance products and services to achieve the financial client’s goals as agent of State Farm and subsidiaries. Manages more complex, high dollar volume, and high net worth customers. Acts as the subject matter expert for the agency to handle the more advanced financial consulting cases to support higher volume.
Responsibilities
- Proactively acquire new affluent consumer and small business customers, and deepen existing relationships, through outreach, pre-planned appointments, prospect calling, networking, and leveraging existing participation business
- Advise customers on various aspects of recommended and available financial options and services
- Conduct periodic review of accounts to communicate account status, explain activities and keep clients aware of existing and new offerings
- Maintain deep knowledge and understanding of State Farm financial services and products
- Build relationships with branch colleagues, affluent customers, and partners to acquire, deepen, and retain relationships, and to also help customers succeed financially
- Develop a pipeline of internal/external referral sources in compliance with State Farm policies and procedures and guidelines
- Plan/conduct life insurance seminars and initiates cross marketing for clients and prospects to grow market penetration of State Farm product services
- Monitor accounts to ensure accurate processing, identifies discrepancies, errors/concerns and take remedial actions
- Monitor, track, and report performance of individual sales plans and assigned strategies
- Participate in development and implementation of new/enhanced processes and financial planning
- Performs other duties as assigned or appropriate
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience recommending Life insurance products
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners
- Current and active Life & Health Insurance License
Salary Range: $65,000 –$75,000 (In addition to base salary, this position is commission eligible.)
