We are the largest family owned massage and facial business for Massage Heights in California. Join us to help our clients feel better, look better, and improve their overall health and wellness.

Our Novato location is one of the oldest and established locations in the area.

Looking for only those Skin Therapists that like to work and are certified on Dermalogica. Are you a Dermalogica Expert? Or working towards that Expert level? You must have some level of certification on Dermalogica and understand all of the various add-on services (Ultrasonic, Vacuum, High Frequency).

Looking for those unique therapists that are looking for a place to work at a great location, spacious facility, with a team of people that enjoy working with each other.

We are looking for Sundays and Mondays from 10am - 6pm and other evening shifts from 5pm-9pm, or perhaps 12pm - 6pm or 7pm. Hours are negotiable, but want to expand our coverage for facial services for our operating hours. We are also looking for those of you that are open to working the front desk - booking appointments, answering phones, and selling memberships. So, you could work with guests taking appointments and closing out sessions, plus Facials as needed.

You must be able to work at least 24 - 32 hours/week overall. But, we have full-time hours available for you.

Compensation: Base Compensation, plus Bonus + Commission, then extras for services, and retail, plus your tips. This is an employee based position, not Independent Contractor. You are paid for all of your time.

Our therapists will typically earn $35 - $55 per service hour (including average tips, with commissions and product sales it can be significantly higher) based on their experience and efforts. For Skin Therapists, your earnings are typically higher as you will be earning more from Microdermabrasion, ProPower Peel, and many of our other Elevations or add-on services.

We also provide subsidized Medical Insurance. If you are interested in getting additional benefits such as medical insurance, dental, or vision, or other accident or catastrophic illness coverage - we have it. You will need to work a minimum of 24 - 32 hours/week to qualify. But, let us know your availability and we can tailor a program that meets your needs.

Key Considerations:

• Typical schedule is 24 hours per week for facials. The balance of the time would be working the front desk.
• Must have active State license and Insurance.
• Design your own breaks. We want you to work to your capability

This is a no drama, very healthy environment. Must have similar values. We are also not like Massage Envy, Hand & Stone, or Elements. We are a franchise, but with a very local hands-on approach to things. In fact, over 50% of our team has now been with from 3 - 5 years and longer.

The facial machines are all new and fully maxed out and support Ultrasonic, High Frequency, Vacuum treatments, Microdermabrasion, and the Steamer (of course). We offer both European and Pressure Point optional sessions which are 90 minutes. As well as the normal 60 minute facial sessions all focused around Dermalogica products. We are completely focused on massage and facial treatments for our guests.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide excellent Guest service. Able to perform in 50 or 80 minute sessions.
• Educate Guests on services, products and programs available to meet their needs.
• Link therapeutic products to your service to enhance the Guest’s experience at home.
• Participate in many corporate off-site chair or race events in the Bay area.
• Create and maintain positive relationships with Guests and Team Members.
• Build that relationship with our guests and be requested often.
• Be open and willing to work a variety of shifts and hours. (A mix of weekday and weekend)
• Be on time and never be late. Able to hold and manage your schedule. Keep call-outs to a minimum
• Able to stay current with on-going changes of Dermalogica back bar and Retail products for recommendations to guests/members.
• Maintain positive relationships with Team Members
• Recognize and support team goals
• Work a set schedule that can include weekends and/or evenings
• Earn CPE credit with on-going training provided by Dermalogica and Massage Heights.

Qualifications and Skills

• Comply with local and state laws/regulations.
• Carry personal liability insurance
• Hold current CA state license to practice skin therapy and clean background check
• Be guest service oriented and able to communicate effectively
• Capable of performing hand and arm massage treatment (together with our training)
• Completely comfortable in speaking and selling Dermalogica to our guests and members
• Be a team player and willing to work a set schedule of hours.
• Always able to arrive early and ready to work assigned timeslots
• Believe in regular skin and massage therapy as part of a healthy lifestyle
• Willing to learn and be trained in the Massage Heights approach to facials.
