JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of Axiom Group and Operations Admin, this open position performs system maintenance and support for the IT Operations. This includes installing, documenting, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting functionality and configuration of PC hardware, operating systems, software, peripherals, and communication devices. Performs project-oriented tasks as assigned.

Pay range: $24.25 - $29.68/hour DOQ

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Initial point of contact for telephone support
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Must be solution oriented.
  • Receive/resolve help desk tickets
  • Complete tickets according to high benchmark Service Level Agreement.
  • Perform Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting prior to ticket escalation.
  • Complete tickets according to IT Policies and Standards.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis on all tickets to improve help desk function.
  • Install computer hardware and software.
  • Build and deploy computers and laptops according to IT Policies and Standards
  • Ensure Endpoint Security is successfully installed and functioning as designed.
  • On-site and remote desktop and laptops support for:Windows 10

Endpoint Antivirus
Office Applications
Mapping Applications
Domain Authentication
Email and Internet Applications
Software, Drivers, and Updates
Proprietary County Applications
Basic Network Troubleshooting
Hardware support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Including software drivers and firmware
Process and manage hardware warranty support from vendors

  • Apply hardware standards according to IT Policies and Standards.
  • User Setup and Removal in accordance with IT Policies and Standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all necessary software, devices, and configurations.
  • Provide basic user training for Windows functions and applications.
  • Assist Telecommunications Technician with special projects as required.
  • Level 2 Projects assigned by Axiom Group and Operations Admin.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

  • Associates/Technical degree in a computer related field, or high school diploma and 3 years’ experience supporting users, software, hardware, and peripherals in a network/active directory environment.

SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • None

EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a level of knowledge, ability, and proficiency to handle all routine tasks, problem, and techniques, and/or solve unusual or unique work tasks with limited assistance in the full range of job activities.
  • Three (3) years of computer experience must include basic knowledge of: networking, PC configuration, operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, File and Folder Security, Exchange, Office 365, Office, web browsers and applications, desktop and telephone/helpdesk support.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Must be proficient in computer, customer service, and general clerical skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to accurately, effectively, and securely transmit and receive information that is necessary to the accomplishment of goals and objectives including effective written and oral communication; ability to keep customers, subordinates, peers, and supervisors informed; and the ability to listen.
  • Able to maintain courteous, effective working relationships with the public, county departments, co-workers and other agencies.
  • Requires a level of knowledge and ability to accomplish tasks and projects in a consistent and accurate manner and in a variety of situations.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have valid Colorado Motor Vehicle Driver’s License with no restrictions
  • Must pass background check: Criminal and Traffic_Conviction of a crime will not be an absolute bar to employment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

-Work is primarily performed in an office environment. The noise level in the environment is moderate. Work is generally scheduled Monday through Friday with some evening hours as required. Occasionally, this position will drive to other office locations. Therefore, individuals in this position may come into contact with a variety of weather conditions.

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, walk and use hands to finger dexterity to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Individuals in this job must be able to type, use a mouse, and use a keyboard in the daily operations. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, twist or crouch. Physical demands are described as sedentary (exert up to 10 lbs. of force frequently or constantly. Occasionally lift, carry, pull, or push up to 40 lbs to move objects). Persons in this position will occasionally need to crawl around on knees or may need to climb ladders to reach equipment. Travel by automobile is required to attend meetings, visit other work sites, and attend trainings. Must possess verbal and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
