This position administers the company’s total absence management process including disability, leave and accommodations.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers the leave program to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company policies related to FMLA, ADA, Short Term Disability and Statutory Paid Leave
  • Handles the life cycle of the leave from initiation to end and engages with employees to support and facilitate their return to work
  • Partners with Employee Relations, Training and IT on employees leave and return from leave
  • Manages administrative aspect of leave including tracking and entering leave time in timekeeping system
  • Facilitates the ADA interactive process between employee and department as it relates to workplace accommodations including continuous leave of absence
  • Identifies process gaps
  • Works closely with payroll to ensure that pay is accurate and correct
  • Acts as a resource to educate HR staff, department management, and employees on Leave of Absence (LOA) policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements; as well as to aid in employees understanding of benefits offered and eligibility requirements through individual and group meetings or training sessions
  • Acts as main point of contact with Vendor
  • Contributes to LOA related policies and related forms, documents, or communications, as appropriate; administers implementation, coordination and roll out
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience administering leave and accommodations required
  • Advanced knowledge of federal, state and local leave laws, specifically Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Arizona, Missouri
  • Experience in interactive process for ADA
  • Experience with HRIS Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-tasking in a rapidly changing environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to drive process improvement and multi-task
  • Must maintain confidentiality of any personal or sensitive data
  • Must have strong critical thinking skills
