Position Summary:
The Health Care Application Trainer is responsible for ensuring centers receive timely, effective, ongoing training that results in full optimization of HCN’s clinical applications and drives clinical and quality outcomes. This position is recognized for their clinical application expertise and sought as a resource for implementation, training and workflows analysis of HCN’s supported systems. The specialist will be required to work collaboratively with HCN’s System Optimization, Quality Outcomes, Member Experience and Strategic Partner Manager teams with the goal of providing centers with ultimate system expertise and customer excellence.
Position Responsibilities:
- Possesses an emerging level of expertise in supported clinical applications.
- Provides stand-up, instructional, web based and hands-on training for system setup and end-user training, including testing of user comprehension and abilities.
- Responsible for assisting with the implementation of clinical application systems at health centers, primarily systems.
- Provides support during implementation and go live. Serves as a key resource for centers and facilitates a formal, seamless transition to the HCN support services. Ensures system design and outstanding issues are documented.
- Collaborates with clinicians and end users of the system to support the design, testing, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of supported clinical applications.
- Actively works with management and individual team leaders to understand organizational initiatives and advises on centers’ ongoing needs.
- Provides an ongoing analysis of clinical applications, develops optimized setup and workflows and ensures training is developed and disseminated in an expedient manner.
- Consistently identifies and secures professional service revenue through targeted training and optimization programs designed to meet center specific needs. Professional service revenue goals to be determined each fiscal year.
- In collaboration with internal teams and center leadership, conducts training needs analysis. Documents gap analysis, identifies individual training needs based on responsibilities and develops future workflows and training plan based on the results of that analysis.
- Works with internal & external customers, as well as, vendors and stakeholders to resolve problems, respond to suggestions for improvement and enhancements, test, refine and train on solutions. Documents training registrations, attendance and testing results.
- Travels extensively to centers throughout the country; Communicates effectively with all levels of leadership, clinicians, care team members, front desk/administrative and ancillary team members at centers.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skills, Abilities and Requirements
- Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory, Intergy Practice Management System, Electronic Health Records, and Electronic Oral Health Records
- Extensive knowledge of clinical application expertise
- Healthcare workflow experience with EMRs and EHRs
- Knowledge of Healthcare and/or Community Health Center industry and practices
- Knowledge of PC usage, Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Computer Based Training experience
- Content development and documentation
- Must be willing to travel outside of home base to member centers, as required
Education, Experience and Certifications
- 5 years of experience in a healthcare-related position and/or Bachelor’s Degree in a computer or healthcare-related field or equivalent combined experience
- 2 years of experience using a Practice Management System is required; experience with Intergy preferred
- Experience working in a Health Care Organization strongly preferred
