The Lead Teacher provides a classroom atmosphere for creative learning that will meet the individual needs of three, four and five-year old children as they develop mentally, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically. This individual must represent Christ and the Church with grace and hospitality, modeling Christian missional teachings and behaviors at all times. Works under the supervision and direction of the Preschool Director.

Duties (not all inclusive):

• Organize and implement curriculum based on preschool goals and child assessments, supplementing as needed for the individualized needs of children
• Display weekly curriculum plans and monthly class calendars
• Prepare for scheduled Parent/Teacher Conferences and other events
• Maintain written records and documentation for each child
• Supervise the Teachers Aide and any volunteers
• Fulfill all obligations required by the DHS for Early Childhood Teachers including 16 hours of continuing education

Education:

• Early Childhood Teacher Qualified
• Colorado Early Childhood Professional Credential Level 3, preferred
• The ability to meet one of the other paths to qualification under 7.702.44 A of the Rules Regulating Childcare Centers (Less Than 24-Hour Care) and the willingness to submit for a credential within 90 days of hire

Experience:

• Prior experience teaching early childhood education or preschool preferred
• Biblically-based knowledge preferred
• Computer experience helpful
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification and Universal Precautions helpful (training provided)
• High energy and creativity; flexibility; the ability to lead, equip and mentor; and respect for confidentiality

Hours: 18-25 depending on classroom assignment
