White Salmon Baking Co seeks a dynamite and creative individual to lead our pastry department

We are a small family owned bakery located in the Gorge, priding ourselves on creating artisanal food using the finest freshest ingredients. Creating community and a positive work space is our goal.

Ideal candidate is adept in multiple pastry disciplines including viennoiserie, preserving, plated desserts, and cake decorating. Must be organized and self-motivated with great communication skills

Duties and responsibilities include:

Supervising, mentoring, and inspiring a small team

Staff scheduling

Coordinating and managing wholesale accounts

Ordering from multiple vendors

Food cost analysis

Recipe development

Ensure consistency throughout pastry department

Creating and maintaining a production schedule

Oversee new staff training

This is a full-time and long-term position. Must be available to work some weekends. Long hours of standing and lifting up to 50lbs is required. Minimum of 3 years bakery or restaurant experience please

Pay ranges from $22/hr-$26/hr depending on experience. Additional tips: $20-$50/day
