Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service (MES) has opening for a full-time Lead Operations Manager located at the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility (DMCF). This position will oversee the operations and maintenance of both the Cox Creek DMCF and the property located adjacent and to the north of the Cox Creek DMCF on Fort Armistead Road in Baltimore City and northern Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and directing the daily functions of the combined facilities. This includes oversight of staff, procurements, equipment and facilities operations and maintenance, human resources management, safety and site compliance, as well as, on-site management, execution, and planning for innovative and beneficial use of dredged material, and other duties as assigned. This position will act as a liaison between MES Headquarters and facility personnel, and interact with clients, contractors, vendors and County and State officials.
Estimated Pay Range:
$70,557.64 - $123,475.54

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum qualifications include graduation from a standard high school or GED plus 5 years of supervisory experience in field operations, recycling/solid waste, biosolids management or construction activities. 4 years of this experience must include project management and/or supervisory responsibilities. A valid driver's license with less than 5 points is required.
Preferred qualifications: Preferred candidate will have experience working at a dredged material containment facility, constructing berms/dikes, and retrieving, drying, and processing dredged material, and managing discharge water. Experience with innovative and beneficial use of dredged material is preferred.
