JOB GOAL: To coordinate a comprehensive school health program across the district.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred but not required. Current valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. Excellent verbal and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in front of large groups in a professional manner. Outstanding interpersonal and supervisory skills that bring accountability to the clinic team through support and motivation. Ability to evaluate program outcomes, organize monthly statistics, a identify and address system needs. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Ability to work well with students, parents, and staff. Physical demands - must be able to stand and walk the majority of the day; lift and carry twenty (20) to thirty (30) pounds frequently, and up to one hundred (100) pounds occasionally; push or pull same amounts frequently. The job may also require frequent bending and stooping.

JOB DUTIES:
1. Is present at work every day and arrives at assigned time.
2. Demonstrates an attitude and demeanor that contributes to an atmosphere of harmony and goodwill in the workplace.
3. Interacts in a professional manner with students, staff, and school/district leaders.
4. Designs and implements a comprehensive school health program across the district using CHOA and department guidelines.
5. Provides educational training to clinic personnel.
6. Establishes clinic guidelines and monitors for compliance.
7. Assists principals with clinic personnel evaluations.
8. Consults with staff on health issues, feeding techniques, hygienic issues, and care plan development.
9. Orders clinic supplies for the district.
10. Coordinates mandated screenings.
11. Reports health issues to Public Health Department as required by law.
12. Collaborates with and serves as a resource to parents, teachers, and principals concerning health education for students.
13. Serves as liaison between the physician or agencies responsible for the student’s medical needs and related school personnel.
14. Maintains confidentiality of all student information.
15. Maintains current and accurate documentation.
16. Reviews and revises local policy as necessary.
17. Attends approved training sessions, staff development activities, and required meetings.
18. Complies with all requirements for mandatory reporting of child abuse, illegal harassment, or any criminal activity for which the employee becomes aware.
19. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
