Compensation: $41,751- $59,275 with a rich benefits package that includes profit-sharing.
Job Description Summary
This position reports to the Senior Director, Pinnacle Print and Transaction Solutions and provides support for the digital print and folding inserting needs of the company. Position will operate high-speed color digital equipment using Fiery Software and Acrobat Pro publishing software and intelligent folder inserter software from Quadient.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent and five (5) years of experience operating high speed color digital equipment, preferred.
- Three (3) years’ experience operating High Speed Intelligent inserting equipment
- Strong printing knowledge of paper types and impositioning; 2 up, 4 up, booklet, etc.
- Strong end-user software programs, including Fiery software, word-processing, publishing and spreadsheet software and Franklin Estimating software.
- Knowledge of Print and mail automation software including but not limited to: Quadient Automated Insertion Management System, (AIMS) and Quadient Output Management System, (OMS) a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize jobs with competing demands and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Verifiable, clean DMV record and the ability to travel to various locations throughout the U.S. (mainly California and Arizona) up to 5% of the time.
Duties And Responsibilities
Digital Print Operations
- Prepare and download various digital files for production.
- Operate high-speed color digital printers.
- Oversee, plan and direct the activities of a modern printing and mailing; prepare or direct the preparation of cost estimates.
- Establish and coordinate methods and procedures for economical and efficient production.
- Confer with institution and departmental representatives on materials to be printed and the priorities and time limits involved.
- Plan, develop and write specifications for a wide range of printing binding jobs to be contracted to commercial printing vendors as needed.
Intelligent Folder Operations
- Operate multiple intelligent folder inserters; familiarity with Integrated Mail Operating Systems.
- Use secure document management systems – Quadiant Automated Insertion Management System (AIMS) and Quadiant Output Management Systems (OMS) and audit job accuracy.
- Tray and tag job appropriately and prepare trays for post office drop offs per United States Postal Service (USPS) regulations.
Administrative
- Maintain production, inventory, and purchase materials to be used for print jobs; accommodate client’s specifications on material and recommend cost effective material while maintaining high quality print and production.
- Program workflows for future and current clients; work with necessary departments including sales team to determine cost and direction of jobs to be printed and mailed.
- Plan future efficiencies to be put in place to produce more revenue and less cost; work with Senior Director to create a more efficient workflow to promote growth and revenue.
- Use Franklin Estimating software to bill out print jobs and supplies.
- Complete jobs in a timely and efficient manner, maintain proper stock for current and future jobs.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Postal Regulations; sustain USPS Mailer Score Card.
- Perform pre-flighting and file preparation with software, maintenance on software and server.
