JOB SUMMARY:

Inventory and sort laundry items inspect linen for quality, and transport linen to offsite facility.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values

Ø Count items for the day and inventory outgoing items

Ø Remove all foreign material from linen

Ø Dispose of foreign material in accordance with established procedures

Ø Sort soiled laundry based on type and degree of stain

Ø Inspect all linen for quality

Ø Check for wrinkles and stains

Ø Pull/push full or empty laundry tubs

Ø Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner

Ø Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times

Ø Transport soiled/clean linen for property to and from off-site facility

Ø Unload and load soiled/clean linen for property at casino and off-site facility

Ø Operate laundry equipment to include proper chemical titrations, as prescribed

Ø Transport freight, parts or other equipment using proper loading and unloading techniques

Ø Adhere to all weight, speed, equipment, route, permit, safety, and other applicable vehicle regulations

Ø Maintain the security of assigned equipment and cargo, ensuring its arrival in good condition

Ø Perform regular maintenance service and inspection on assigned vehicles at established intervals

Ø Perform appropriate emergency service and repairs when required

Ø Maintain effective communication channels with supervisor during out-of-town trips

Ø Maintain all required paperwork including pre-trip checklist and other reports

Ø Report to the supervisor any citations, any accidents or any on the job injuries received while operating company vehicles

Ø Pass safety inspections once every quarter

Ø Must be able to drive 24 ft loaded box truck in and out of parking garages, back safely into designated loading docks, parking lots and secondary roads without incident.

Ø Raise and lower lift gate for transport of linen carts on and off vehicle

Ø Operate pallet lift jack for the transport of linen and chemical products on the laundry floor

Ø Complete tasks as directed and manage time effectively without direct supervision

Ø Inspect and maintain laundry vehicles

Ø Adhere to regulator, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø High school diploma or GED required

Ø One-year previous commercial laundry experience preferred

Ø Valid N.C driver’s license required

Ø Must be able to obtain a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) withing 6 moths of hire required

Ø Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

Ø Ability to handle multiple tasks/duties simultaneously

Ø Neat, well-groomed appearance with excellent personal hygiene

Ø Friendly, upbeat, outgoing personality

Ø Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ø Strong interpersonal skills

Ø Self-starter; must work without close supervision

Ø Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Ø Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, balance, stoop, twist, and grip items

Ø Must be able to walk, stand, sit, push/pull laundry carts for 8-hour shift

Ø Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues

Ø Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Ø Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 pounds

Ø Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels

Ø Must be able to push, pull loaded linen carts (avg. weight 750LBS) 20-30 yards without assistance

Ø Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

Ø Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibrations, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smoke

Ø Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
