As a Laundry Attendant you are responsible of ensuring that clean linens are supplied to the entire hotel. Among the responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items, while meeting brand standards and striving to exceed the guests' expectation of cleanliness. Maintaining rooms to ensure safe and clean experience for hotel guests and associates.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform washing, drying, folding and packaging according to procedures.
• Take linen inventory on a scheduled basis.
• Understand operation of washing machines and dryers.
• Load and unload washes according to standards.
• Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc.
• Sort all hotel linen according to type, color, size, etc.
• Identify and use proper judgement to pre-treat all stained linen before washing.
• Clean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment as trained.
• Operate iron as trained and ensure that it is shut off at the end of day.
• Employees must always be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees.
• Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing all linens off the floor.
• Fold towels and linens.
• Assist room attendant when necessary

• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
