THE ROLE :
This role is responsible for the planning and execution of the land acquisition and retainment strategy of both our Middle and East Tennessee Mines, The Land Administrator coordinates with Mine Technical Services and Legal teams to manage mining rights ahead of Exploration and Operational needs, In addition, the Land Administrator works with the Accounting, Geology, and Mill teams to ensure compliance with lease agreements and other linked business transactions.

Function/ Production:
Safety, Health, Environment and Community
    • Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals in support of the department, site and company standards
    • Demonstrates leadership in SHEC through personal behaviors and conversations, and ensuring that the Geology team report all SHEC incidents and patriciate in SHEC initiatives

Operations
    • Work with Exploration and Engineering teams to establish a land acquisition strategy as part of the larger Life of Mine plan,
    • Work with local, state, and federal entities to execute the land acquisition strategy.
    • Report on the status of land acquisition, community relations, and royalty payments to the Chief Geologist.
    • Coordinate with Database Administrator to update property tract boundaries.
    • Work with site technical teams and group legal representatives to ensure that the Mines' land tenure is maintained in good standing and compliant with lease agreements.
    • Prepare royalty payment calculations monthly for review by the Accounting team.
    • Act as liaison with the community and various lease grantors to update land management documents and software with latest ownership.

Education and Qualifications:
    • At least 2 years' experience with land management, property title, and working with surveys.
    • Experience in the mining and exploration industries would be an asset.
    • Experience with land management software platforms will be an asset Experience with SharePoint, qGIS or ArcGIS, and AutoCAD is an asset.
