Turner Industries group is looking for a Laborer to work as a Spotter/Flagman for a construction project at a jobsite in Longview, TX. This position will also support office workers in performing their assigned duties. The ideal candidate for this job:

• Has average to above average computer skills in microsoft excel, word, outlook, etc.
• Has basic office skills such as filling, alpha-numeric organization, etc..
• Willing to work 50% field duty; 50% office duty

No per diem or relocation for this position. Candidate will be a resident of the Longview, TX area.

Functional Requirements:

Employee may perform one or more of the following duties: digs, spreads and levels dirt and gravel; lifts, carries and holds building materials, tools and supplies; cleans tools, equipment, materials and work areas; mixes, spreads or pours concrete, asphalt, gravel or other materials; joins, wraps and seals sections of pipe; performs a variety of non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, placing culvert sections in trench, etc.; spends time on one job or may be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion.

• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation

• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
• Job site orientation
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.

Work Environment Factors:

• Location: industrial construction sites
• Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
• Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
