Job Responsibilities:

· Be a subject matter expert that works independently to support our LIS (Laboratory Information System) and clinical study support systems associated with laboratory testing.

· Provide technical and application expertise to design, analyze, and optimize clinical and laboratory information systems.

· Manage laboratory middleware, data management systems, and analyzer interfaces to optimize information flow in the laboratory.

· Interface laboratory data with external IT systems (e.g. enterprise software, clinical research systems, artificial intelligence) through system interfaces and ETL.

· Participate in a collaborative effort with key contributors and lab operations specialists, to design and develop effective laboratory workflow, operational processes, and system functions to drive optimal outcomes and efficiencies.

· Support operational decision making through laboratory data gathering and conducting sophisticated analysis.

· Collaborate and document system design and workflow processes for clinical and laboratory management, staff, and providers.

· Function as a liaison between laboratory operations and information technology teams.

· Achieve Laboratory objectives of standardization, integration, and efficiency and support compliance with policies and procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in health informatics, laboratory science, medical technology or related science or equivalent experience.

· 5+ years or laboratory informatics experience.

· Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Science, or Medical Laboratory Technician certification is a plus

· Familiarity with laboratory systems and applications in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

· Advanced computer hardware and software expertise.

Physically, the day-to-day functions of the role require:

- Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.

- A normal range of vision and hearing (inclusive of candidates using corrective measures such as glasses or hearing aids).

- Occasional repetitive motions.
