Department: Shipping
Job Title: Labeler
Reports To: Shipping Team Leader
Job Summary: Prepare orders for shipment by applying shipping labels according to customer requirements.
Hours Required: 40+ overtime as needed.
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure correct shipping labels are placed accurately on cartons.
- Consolidate product to reduce pallet count.
- Wrap product to secure the load for forklift operator.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Daily Tasks
- Apply shipping labels, customer specific labels, and packing slips to cartons and product.
- Prepare product for labeling.
- Make sure specific pallets are used per customer specifications.
- Prepare orders for shipments.
- Ensure damaged boxes are replaced.
- Maintain a clean work area.
Skills Required
- Time Management: ensure day to day activities are accomplished in allotted amount of time.
- Communication: professionally interact with team members and supervisors.
- Analytical: identify opportunities for process improvements.
Physical Demands
- This is a Safety Sensitive position
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to walk, bend, twist and lift above the head, as needed.
