Job description
This position provides supervision for a laboratory section(s) of a laboratory. The Lab supervisor reports to the Lab Manager and has operational supervision over 10-20 FTEs. May communicate instructions, do minor scheduling, and inspect work. This position may entail hiring, suspending, rewarding, disciplining, responsibly direct, and assign work to associates. The position may also adjust associate grievances.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Lab Science; Bachelor’s Degree science related field with ASCP certification or equivalent ASCP registration (AMT certification is considered equivalent to ASCP).
- Minimum Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in a patient care or clinical setting; and /or 3-5 years supervisory experience.
- Minimum License Requirements
- Registered with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
