Position

We are looking for an experienced cannabis Lab Manager to join our team at our fully vertical Somerset location! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with cannabis extraction, METRC, vape cart production, CCC regulations, and overall cannabis lab procedures. This individual will oversee all lab procedures and effectively manage the activities all of Lab Technicians and Lab Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for various products
• Manage and oversee the production of cannabis products through extraction procedures
• Direct, train and supervise staff of Laboratory Technicians and Assistants
• Staff and schedule Laboratory Technicians and Assistants
• Monitor and record the quality of all extracted products in accordance with compliance requirements
• Oversee all aspects of CO2 extraction, rosin, distillate, and vape cartridge production
• Document, revise, and maintain all standard operating procedures for Laboratory Operations
• Create and run various reports while checking all data for accuracy and completion
• Input production data into METRC, Dutchie, and other systems and ensure record keeping is up-to-date and accurate
• Research and develop new products and techniques
• Meet with leadership team to present updates on lab processes and production levels
• Maintain all lab equipment including preventive maintenance where necessary
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other related science field preferred
• Knowledge and experience in working a lab processing facility
• Experience working with cannabis extraction
• METRC experience a plus
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees
• Great interpersonal/communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Have genuine and positive energy
• Great work ethic, reliability, and professionalism

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
• Frequently moves up to 50+ pounds of equipment/materials/product within rooms (100 pounds with assistance).
• This job function may include being in a stationary position, or moving for extended periods of time.
