A Multimedia Storytelling Supervisor at News On 6 helps drive the Ideal Team Player culture.

The Multimedia Storytelling Supervisor is responsible for the development of up to 20 multimedia journalists; supervises multimedia journalists in conjunction with other content managers; advises multimedia journalists in storytelling, story development, writing, videography and editing; works in conjunction with the Chief Photographer to implement the company's high standards of videography, editing and quality control; trains all multimedia journalists, following the training program developed by management; works in conjunction with the Technology Department to solve technical issues with cameras or editing software. Candidates must have excellent storytelling ability, strong videography skills, use good editorial judgment and be a strong writer; may occasionally work as a multimedia journalist to shoot, edit, and write stories; support strategic development and execution for the organization while working effectively with all Griffin subsidiaries and business partners. The Multimedia Storytelling Supervisor reports to the Director of Content.

This is a full-time position. Hours and schedule may vary depending on demands of news coverage.

Five years of experience as a multimedia journalist in a television newsroom. Management experience preferred; advanced knowledge of television technology, including cameras, edit software and all other tools used by multimedia journalists; and knowledge of a newsroom content management system and ability to learn new systems; experienced journalist with track record of creative storytelling; must have excellent writing and coaching skills; effective oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality; knowledge of journalistic standards; knowledge of National Press Photographers Association standards and practices; ability to make quick and appropriate decisions and gain the cooperation of others; must be able to work extended work schedules; possible travel without advance notice.

College degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent required. Related experience will be evaluated by Company management and may be substituted on the basis of two years of experience equals one year of education.
