As a program manager over the Tesla Energy Knowledge Base you will create, maintain and improve a global knowledge base. Your purpose is to connect strategic intent to operational execution by managing the global knowledge base. You will organize knowledge in a way that ensures quick and easy access to accurate policy, process, procedure and information, thus increasing productivity, and efficiency across all energy teams. You must have a strong understanding of how other departments function in order to correctly identify knowledge connections across all business functions.

- Maintain a global knowledge base with correct metadata and linkages
- Standardize content across all teams
- Review incoming process data to find discrepancies and follow up on action items
- Perform knowledge gap analysis to determine how information should be organized and what is missing
- Work with subject matter experts (SME) and management to ensure that documented processes and knowledge management solutions enable the end user to be successful
- Work cross-functionally to develop effective, interesting and engaging knowledge management solutions for all department teams
- Create step-by-step documentation, photographs, drawings, visio diagrams, and charts to increase users’ understanding of company systems, concepts, processes, procedures and products
- Proofread and edit your own work and the work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and effectiveness of documentation
- Gather usability feedback from end-users
- Stay up to date and revise content as new issues arise
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years’ experience in technical writing, knowledge management or a related area is required
- High proficiency in SharePoint and other Microsoft Office products is required
- Experience in program and project management is required
- Excellent technical writing skills required with the proven ability to successfully communicate complex troubleshooting in a clear and organized manner
- Must be able to understand complex information and communicate said information to individuals with diverse professional backgrounds.
- Analytical skills with attention to detail including excellent proof-reading skills
- Professional composure, approachability, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills required
- Able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment, with a forward-thinking mindset
- Proven time management and organizational skills
- Experience with Atlassian Confluence, web design, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
