Project Manager Job Description

Hours of Operation: Varied based on visiting unit work order requirements

Work Period: Typically May-September with smaller units requiring services throughout other months. This position is eligible for traveling chef opportunities in other Choice Services kitchen operations.

Hours: 35-40 hours per week for those weeks with scheduled visiting units

Qualifications: Strong leadership qualities with 3+ years food service management experience, ServSafe Manager certification, and ability/willingness to create a cooperative, safe, and encouraging work environment.

**ADMINISTRATION DUTIES: Estimated 3-15 hours per working week

* Responsible for phone and in person interviews for all job categories; Shift Leader, Cook, Food Service Worker, Cashier

* Communicate hiring paperwork to new hires for Corporate staff to compile for payroll and base access

* Serve as the Choice Services representative for military to include but not limited to; any work order changes, meal requests, correction of services performed

* Oversee daily employee clock in – clock out procedures and approve timesheets on each Sunday after closing.

* Coordinate staffing adjustments for any late, no shows, sick employees keeping every staff member at or under 40 hours per pay period.

* Conduct one on one and group trainings for Shift Leaders, Cooks and Food Service Workers to ensure operation is operating efficiently and safely.

* Conduct and document employee disciplinary meetings with action plan for performance correction.

* Responsible for documenting accident reports and immediately notify Corporate Staff of any occurrences.

**SHIFT LEADER DUTIES: Estimated 3 or 4 Breakfast/Lunch or Lunch/Dinner Shifts as needed
(24-32 hours per working week)

* Assign and Oversee Cooking duties based on menu production log

* Assign and Oversee Food Service Worker duties to include dessert plating, assist cooks with food panning, restock condiments, salad prep, kitchen/dining hall/lavatory cleaning, garbage and recycling removal, sweep/mop/vacuum in between meal services

* Work with Storeroom Clerk for product distribution and alternative menu suggestions. Commit to documenting products removed from storeroom required for meal preparation when Clerk is not present.

* Oversee food temp and cool down logs for each meal

* Complete a daily Shift Leader Quality Control checklist denoting all work station progress and corrections made during shift.

* Direct employee work break times and rotation of Food Service Worker job duties to give staff a variety of positions throughout shift.

* Responsible for opening facility or securing facility at the end of day.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
