JOB TITLE: Kitchen Coordinator / Cook

DEPARTMENT: Kitchen – Reports to Executive Director

JOB SUMMARY: The Kitchen Coordinator plans and executes all meals.

13 meals a week, housing if interested.

QUALIFICATIONS: 20+ years old, Food Handler’s license (can be attained once hired), ability to work on your feet for long hours.

HOURS: Sunday Dinner through Friday Lunch and some weekends (Wed night off)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Requirements: Food Handler’s license, formal food preparation training
• Plans menus at least two weeks out and adapts as needed (including dietary restrictions)
• Conducts inventory daily.
• Orders food from US Foods or picks up at Restaurant supply.
• Creates shopping lists for locally produced food items and buys them or delegates the buying.
• Trains Kitchen Staff to assist in meal prep.
• Coordinates and trains kitchen staff on preparation of food and cleaning
• Trains entire staff and CITs on dish pit procedure
• Assembles campout night food items for tinfoil dinners and additional supplies.
• Assists in staff and camper recruiting as possible.
• Assures that the kitchen is clean each day and deep clean end of week.
