Job description
The Lookout Mountain Club is hiring a Junior Activities Coordinator to develop the Junior Activities department. Our ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of experience in event planning and experience in the private club setting. Great for recent college graduates or those interested in pursuing the hospitality industry.
Main Job Requirements
- Work closely with the Membership and Communications Director on the coordination and execution of all events especially Junior member focused events.
- Oversee childcare employees and make schedule for childcare room.
- Communicate effectively and genuinely with team members and other departments both verbally and in writing. This includes, but not limited to, communicating, and coordinating customizations and event changes.
- Create event orders with event details.
- Work with the Communications and Events Manager to conceptualize, plan, set up, and execute, social events for Members.
- Participate in weekly Food & Beverage meetings.
- Show initiative and anticipate needs in job performance.
- Additional responsibilities may be given by Supervisor.
Skills & Requirements
- Private club experience preferred, but not required.
- Childcare experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong onsite leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated team player who is able to work on their own as well as within a team.
- Must be hardworking and eager.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- A genuine passion for working with people (and helping them).
- Must have a flexible work schedule, requires some nights and weekends.
