Lavish Roots is looking for a Jr. Sous Chef to join our team in Bellevue, WA! Our team of culinary professionals service corporate cafés in Seattle, Redmond, and Bellevue with a focus on high quality, fresh meals and exceptional hospitality for the worlds largest social media company in the world.

As a Jr Sous Chef you’ll work with the Sous Chef to run a successful, high volume corporate café and manage a large team to execute daily food production while delivering guests a high quality dining experience.

Salary: 56,000.00- 63,500.00

The Details:

Management

  • Supervise and develop staff with a focus on mentorship
  • Follow and enforce Lavish Roots and Meta’s protocols
  • Cultivate positive peer, team and guest relationships
  • Communicate menu or service changes with the culinary team


Admin

  • Conduct audits and café recaps to enhance operations and address any deficiencies
  • Ensure proper ordering, receiving, storage, and consolidation of products
  • Manage schedules and breaks
  • Respond to emails, WorkChat, and other forms of communication in a timely manner
  • Attend management meetings
  • Ability to understand and communicate basic English (speaking, writing, and reading)


Food and Service

  • Prepare prep lists, conduct pre-shift meetings to provide team with menu knowledge, cooking techniques and delegate prep
  • Oversee recipe adherence and execution
  • Ensure hotline is set up properly, presentable, and on time for service
  • Regularly monitor temps and ensure food is replenished with backups ready if necessary


Hospitality

  • Ensure the culinary team is attentive and accommodating to guests needs by providing a high level of customer service


Cleanliness

  • Ensure daily/weekly equipment and kitchen cleaning
  • Ensure team members maintain clean work stations and aprons throughout the day


Safety

  • Ensure all team members practice excellent sanitation/food safety and safe use of food preparation equipment
  • Jr Sous Chefs must hold a valid Servsafe certificate
  • For the safety and health of our guests and team members, Lavish Roots requires proof of vaccination for employment and the use of a face mask/covering while in the building(s).
  • Applicants should have at least 2-3 years previous management experience and at least 2-3 years Sous Chef experience in a high volume restaurant/catering setting.
