Job Summary:
Two years technical education or relevant military training and two years of radar experience, experience with tracking radar systems preferred
Knowledge of digital, analog, and RF electronic fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
Must have comprehensive knowledge of operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical components of C-Band Radar antenna to include analog, RF and digital, systems and subsystems including digital recording devices, VME based computer systems and PC's running MS Windows and MS Office.
Must be able to interpret electrical diagrams such as functional block diagrams and schematics and understand digital and analog electronic fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
Knowledge of test equipment required to troubleshoot and operate is a must. I.E. Signal generators, power meters, function generators, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes.
Previous experience with RF systems, such as radars or transponders desirable.
Ability to serve as senior site member, directing other technicians in system operation and maintenance activities.
Submit weekly reports, system availability metrics, and other reports as directed and in a timely manner.
Demonstrates mathematical skill necessary to perform basic algebraic functions required to analyze system performance.
Must be physically capable of performing manual tasks, which may include climbing towers and lifting to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work under stressful conditions associated with rigid time demands.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
