POSITION PURPOSE

The Junior Marketing Analyst is responsible for a high level of focus on assimilating and reporting on a variety of data related to social, digital & traditional entities & optimization. Performs the day-to-day administrative tasks and supports the marketing team with other miscellaneous development tasks. Responsible for contributing to the development of analytics and business insights supporting email, social, digital, and traditional campaigns and other direct to member marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for executing effective data management and reporting, including mining and analyzing internal/external marketing and member data, and transforming it into business intelligence to support strategic marketing objectives - promoting a data-driven culture. The Junior Marketing Analyst will assist in supporting multi-channel member marketing programs and provide insights, analysis and recommendations that improve marketing effectiveness. JOB DUTIES

• Works closely with Senior Marketing Analyst to identify, develop, and implement analytic solutions to satisfy key business information needs.
• Assists in managing response tracking efforts related to coordinated marketing efforts, such as direct mail, email, outbound marketing and sales/promotional initiatives.
• Creates Urchin Tracking Modules (UTM) to track progress and effectiveness of campaigns across all channels.
• Creates Google Analytics-generated reports to summarize trends, measure effectiveness of campaigns, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Assists in monthly reporting and tracking results to support the evaluation, refinement and value of traditional, social, and digital marketing, and Sun East Retirement & Investment efforts.
• Acts as primary backup to Multimedia Marketing Specialist, to perform minimal updates and changes (such as rates/alerts) within the Content Management System.
• Collaborates with Multimedia Marketing Specialist to conduct testing and results analysis on social and digital media campaigns.
• Works with other departments, service organizations and outside vendors to mine data the member database to be used for various analytic purposes.
• Supports business decisions and reputation management efforts through ad hoc analysis.

• Provides support with market research activities.
• Performs other administrative tasks to support the marketing team.
• Monitors deliverables and ensures timely completion of assigned tasks and monthly executive and board reports.
• Maintains effective communications of findings from analytical projects as well as insuring project deadlines are met and progressing on schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Understands and complies with all state and federal regulations and laws. Ensures compliance with all governing regulations especially the Bank Secrecy Act requirements. Bank Secrecy Act knowledge will be determined by the employee's position and responsibility.
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is of a generally sedentary nature with limited need to lift or otherwise move objects (10 lbs or under). Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Requires manual dexterity and visual ability (focusing on accuracy and thoroughness of visual material) to work at a computer terminal, utilize keyboard, telephone and other standard office equipment. Must also be able to deliver and receive verbal communication.

SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, SQL, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proven experience with social media platform analytic insights and Google Analytic reporting.
• Proven experience creating and monitoring UTMs.
• Excellent organization and detail-oriented skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in database marketing to include working with any variety of CRM/MRM and MCIF platform. Financial industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to own and manage multiple projectsand have the desire to become the "expert," produce high quality deliverables within assigned deadlines, and continuously manage expectations through timely communications and prioritization skills. This position is part of a fast-paced environment, and one will need to adapt to new situations, learn quickly, and pivot when necessary.
• Possess the ability to handle repetitive daily tasks like pulling direct mail and email lists, call lists and working with various file formats and databases.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization including the ability to actively participate in developing innovative solutions.
• Driven to strive for excellence, intellectually curious, independent, self-starter with strong applied analytics and problem-solving skills.

• Must possess effective and verbal and written communication skills.
