Advance Employment is hiring for full time Journeyman Die Tryout Leader, 3rd shift, up to $33/ hr depending on experience, in a climate controlled environment.

Job Description:

Directs and coordinates die tryout activities for dies assigned. Answers questions and provides direction to fellow tryout personal or trainees. Oversee Tryout operation in absence of manager.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for setting the work pace within the department

Is responsible for making his manager aware of performance issues involving employees in his department.

Reviews, modifies and communicates the line-up direction between shifts

Attends WIP meetings

Prioritizes department work loads based on advise of Scheduling manager

Understands the ATC Die Build Process, and actively to seeks to improve it.

Cooperates with the Die Shop to coordinate the Die Build process between the departments.

Ensures information flow to there crew.

Initials department job time tickets

Attends Job Launch Meetings

Customer Satisfaction.

Issues intranet posting for his department. Responsible for providing information and making sure re-work hours are accurately accounted for.

Is Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of his department.

Provides input regarding the, twice yearly, employee evaluations

Responsible for evaluating his crew of workers and making training arrangements so the department has sufficient personnel cross-trained to provide coverage on all equipment and shifts during vacation, illness or other reasons that require interchangeable personnel.

Helps keep inventory up to date.

Strives towards completing tasks and jobs within the original estimated hours

Supports the Quality System

Promotes shop Safety

Familiar with the “Building Safety and Security procedures and instructions”

Skills:

Competent in operation and set up of all Press’s

Must be fluent with Smirt Die Shop

Understands the Die Build process

Interpret die designs

Managing jobs to a schedule

Has in-depth knowledge of Die Tryout techniques

Familiar with main customer standards and buyoff procedures

Personable, team oriented

Circle grid analysis

Spotting

Nesting

Functional tryout

Dimensional tryout

Able to motivate people

Experience:

• Electrical discharge machining: 1 year (Preferred)
• CNC: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman License (Preferred)
