Job Responsibilities:
- Administration of study drugs as required by the specific protocol
- Ensures all study procedures are conduct as required by specific protocol (i.e., vital signs, draw blood, sample processing, sample shipping, etc.)
- Maintains safety and well-being of study participants during assigned shift
- Performs venipuncture, vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration), ECG, weight, height
- Confer with patient to obtain information for laboratory records and explain procedures
- Verifies that the appropriate vials and containers necessary for specimen collection
- Ensure study data is collected following plan of care, guidelines and identified group resources
- Evaluate clinical practice and review clinical records to ensure standards of care and quality of services are provided in accordance with SOPs
Additional Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a caring, professional attitude and behavior toward study participants and staff, actively contributing to the well-being and dignity of the clinic
- Maintains an overall good work attitude, promoting cooperation and professionalism and interactions with other staff members
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education and experience
- A minimum of a high school diploma with 3 years research experience OR Licensure/ Certifications in a clinical or health field with a minimum of one-year clinical research experience
- BLS and/or ACLS, phlebotomy and injection certifications preferred
- Requirements
- Understands regulatory requirements, as well as Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) guidelines.
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal) and basic computer skills
