Job Description:
This GM position will be responsible for leading the Millville, NJ Base Maintenance Location and working closely with all business areas to ensure process discipline, planning, training our people, equipping the workforce with the right tools, and effective communications flow throughout an organization of 100+ employees. Develops and implements “best practices” methodology driving competitive advantage through a continuous improvement, process-based culture, focused on safety, service, profitability, accuracy, and speed.
Serves as a key change agent leading the MIV team with special focus on people, process, and tools innovation to achieve faster Turn-Around-Time, with increased quality and cost savings.
He/she will effectively manage a workforce with processes set in place to achieve the targets stated in all Service Agreements.
This important position will report to the Sr. VP of Base Maintenance and serve as the primary contact for information and communication between the customer and the company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Organizes and directs the entire Millville team.
Leads the organization through the implementation of operational initiatives, documented processes, metrics, and measurements to ensure aircraft are delivered on-time, on-budget, and defect-free to customers.
Focuses on continuous improvement, defect reduction and growing a culture of process discipline.
Partners with the customer and key functions in the business to respond to key business and customer requirements.
Ensures work standards, policies, and processes are developed and workforce adheres to requirements.
Develops strategic manpower, equipment, and tool requirements for the organization.
Establishes and monitors conformance with specs, procedures, schedule, and safety.
Analyzes root cause and develops mitigating action plan on key organizational quality metrics and performs periodic reviews to ensure corrective action achieve desired results.
Motivates, leads, and mentors key staff to deliver on the company’s strategic vision.
Fosters and maintains a professional relationship with the customer and NetJets site managers.
Manages billable and unbillable hours.
Manages the process for holiday and paid time off.
Manages the coordination between NetJets Planning and site maintenance performed at location.
Manages the review of timecards and expenses for technicians.
Oversees the management of capex expenditures, tooling, and consumables.
Performs annual reviews with input from Project Managers and Shift Managers for all technicians and related personnel.
Monitors the coordination of manpower between aircraft workloads and site supervision.
Reviews work orders for completion and proper documentation.

Builds a “world class” organization respected by customers and the industry. Develops and implements a strategic vision to upgrade Millville into a consultative, continuous improvement-oriented organization with resources and staff skill sets that will lead to excellent quality outcomes, consistent with business and customer requirements. Will assess and upgrade the MIV staff to meet the vision and strategy.
Contributes to the development of the division’s Operations strategy, operating plans to meet growth objectives.
Leads the MIV team to deliver high quality aircraft to customers.
Develops strong, effective internal/external customer, audit agency, key vendor, and partner relationships.
Leads collaborative, well planned, communications between Division Business Areas and the Millville organization.
Possesses the ability to motivate the work force.
Meets the goals required by the NetJets Service Letter Agreement (SLA) on all maintenance events to return aircraft effectively and efficiently to service.
Solves problems with ease.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Leadership or Aircraft related field preferred.
Holds a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
10+ years in Aircraft Maintenance, with management experience in building and leading world-class operations and organizations.
Working knowledge of Corridor, Cost Accounting Management, Microsoft Office, MS Project, and similar type desktop software applications.
Attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, able to work in a fast-paced environment; budget and forecasting experience.
Able to travel, work weekends, overtime, and any shift as required.
Experience with various models of corporate aircraft – Cessna 680A and 560XLS preferred
