We are hiring for a Janitor at the 580-unit apartment community of New Columbia Apartments in Portland. We are looking to add a Janitor to our maintenance team who is thorough, efficient, and enjoys a positive work environment. The Janitor will be responsible for regular cleaning of common areas including shared bathrooms and kitchen, lobby, TV room, hallways, elevator, and stairs. Other duties include turnover cleaning when residents vacate rooms, and grounds pick up.

Workdays: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Pay: $17.00 an hour
Additional Compensation: You will also receive mileage reimbursement for required trainings.

Responsibilities for the Janitor

• Picking up grounds
• Cleaning dumpster areas and parking lots
• Light landscaping duties
• Cleaning common areas such as laundry rooms, windows, stairwells, hallways, etc.

Requirements for the Janitor

• One year of groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance and/or preventative maintenance are preferred.
• Must be comfortable lifting 40-50 pounds.
• Exceptional time management skills
• Strong communication and written skills
• A driver's license and state minimum insurance is required for this position.
