The Exchange Visitor Program fosters global understanding through educational and cultural exchange. Qualified teachers from around the world come to the United States to teach for 3-5 years to educate students and be exposed to the culture in the United States. This is a non-immigrant program. All exchange visitors are expected to return to their home country upon completion of their program in order to share their exchange experiences.

Qualifications:
- Teachers must meet the qualifications for teaching at the primary or secondary level in their home country.
- Teachers must have a minimum of two years of full-time (32+ hours per week) teaching experience in an academic setting. (Pre-K-College)
- Teachers must have, at minimum, a degree equivalent to a US bachelor’s degree in either education or the academic subject field that they will be teaching.
- Teachers must satisfy the teaching eligibility standards of the US state where they will be teaching. (including any required criminal background checks)
- Teachers must be of good reputation and character.
- Teachers must either be currently teaching at the time of application (in their home country or country of legal residence) OR, if not currently teaching, must have recently completed an advanced degree in education or a subject matter related to their subject teaching field.
