Under the general direction of the Chief Information Officer, the ITS Project Manager, plans, establishes, and manages information technology projects, as well as, serves as a liaison between business and technical personnel on projects. The position is comprised of a wide range of responsibilities and duties, which include creating project plans, maintaining project status within JIRA and/or Microsoft Project, communicating with different business stakeholders, and providing status updates to senior leadership. The ITS Project Manager is also responsible for defining project objectives, deliverables, and overseeing quality control throughout the project life cycle, which are in accordance with the Authority’s goals and requirements.

• Develop comprehensive project plans which merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers, business users, and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through Go-Live.
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Proactively and effectively communicate project status and expectations to project team members and stakeholders, in a timely manner.
• Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate team efforts, assign tasks, and give direction to ensure project success.
• Identify project needs, budget, and resources to ensure a successful outcome.
• Work directly with other departments to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and timeline, as well as, ensuring resource availability.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.
• Facilitate and participate in requirement gathering sessions and produce a requirement tractability matrix.
• Run workshops to gather business and technical requirements and assist in document creation and user training.
• Review policies and procedures to adapt and evolve with changing business needs.
• Ensure projects hit milestones on time and escalate to proper stakeholders as needed.
• Solid understanding of project management methodology, including the ability to troubleshoot project roadblocks and proactively seeks solutions to meet deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related areas.

2. Must have five (5) years of experience in general project management.

3. Must have three (3) years of experience in Information Technology project management.

4. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.

5. Must have extensive knowledge of JIRA Project Management and Service Desk, and Microsoft Project.

6. Must have Jira/Agile/Scrum experience.

7. Ability to work with diverse teams.

8. Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities, while working independently, as well as, part of a team.

9. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

10. Valid New Jersey driving license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
