JOB SUMMARY:
The Information Technology (IT) Technician is an integral member of the interdisciplinary health team of FHCSO. Responsible for configuration, installation and maintenance of desktop and laptop computers. Responsibility includes as regular performance, antivirus and other system monitoring to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary for smooth daily business operations. May help other network support and client server specialists and recommend, coordinate, and implement network security measures. Must work within established time lines or provide notice of need for change in time lines on all information technology projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace components as needed to maintain optimum performance.
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
- Assist in ensuring security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Confer with network users for problem resolution. Includes responsibility to recommend user training as needed.
- Train or recommend training for system users.
- Maintains logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records.
- Research new technology, and recommend its implementation.
- Must be available to travel to any and all clinic locations outside of regular working hours in case of system malfunction or scheduled updates, etc. to technology systems.
- Follows mission and vision statements.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:*
- Graduate of an accredited university with a degree in a computer science related field or equitable experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer hardware/software systems and applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot systems and resolve issues.
- Information Security experience preferred.
- Effective communication and customer service skills
