Job description
We are currently in search of a IT System Administrator to join our IT department of the Marquardt Group in our location Cazenovia (USA).
The IT Administrator will be responsible for troubleshooting and supporting the resolution of customer and network related issues, among other IT-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Network trouble shooting/support and maintenance, to aid daily business operation
- Coordination with and support for corporate IT department regarding implementation of new network tools, operating system and software upgrades, information security, and other IT related projects
- Install needed software for end-users
- Setup/Install Desktop PC’s, Notebooks and mobile devices for end-users
- Manage daily backup procedures for servers (data storage using TSM)
- Maintain IT Asset Inventory
- Coordinate with external IT vendors such as phone and network provider, other service and component vendors
Provide local IT support with implementing, configuring, diagnosing, troubleshooting and maintaining of:
- Windows Workplace and Server Systems
- Cisco - LAN, WAN infrastructure
- Telephony system
- Mobile device management
- Software deployment
- Data center infrastructure
- Provide local support for user questions and IT needs
- Work closely together with IT headquarters in Germany
- Resolve customer IT issues reported through centralized helpdesk application
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field- 5+ years related experience
- Cisco and/or Microsoft Certificates are a plus
- ITIL certificates are a plus
- General computer trouble shooting skills, including the use of windows, email, and Microsoft office
- Ability to learn and administer new technologies and applications
- Demonstrated support experience in a PC/Microsoft environment
- Demonstrated PC/Notebook configuration experience
- Demonstrated network experience (LAN, WAN, WIFI, MPLS, TCP I/P, etc.)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees
- Ability to work independently
