Position Description: Opportunity:
We are seeking a full-time IT Manager to join HRiAs growing technology team to oversee day-to-day operations of IT and help desk management. This is a newly created, and highly visible position in a growing organization. This position will be integral in working to drive more automation, make process improvements and maintain documentation.
The position is ideal for an experienced IT professional. This is an exempt, full-time position. This position is a Level 4B (Senior Manager) role at HRiA and will report to the Director of Technology. The salary range starts at $80,000 and is based on experience and skills. For this position, Greater Boston area residency is preferred, but not required. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, HRiA has adopted a hybrid work environment, enabling staff to work remotely and/or in the Boston office (for those whose vaccinations are up to date).
The Senior Director can work remotely, as approved by their supervisor. Occasional travel to the Boston office is required. HRIA requires that staff be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations and must show proof of vaccination upon hire.

Position description:
Health Resources in Action (HRiA) provides consulting services to government agencies, healthcare institutions, philanthropic foundations, nonprofit organizations, and other entities. We are looking for a business/technology leader who can both craft and implement the next generation of internal technology systems and processes for our growing organization. The IT Manager will drive innovation and change through increased automation of systems, new software, or integrations between existing legacy systems.
The IT Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and operation of our organizations technology systems and infrastructure. They will oversee the organizations computer systems, electronic data operations, outsourced helpdesk, and will be responsible for ensuring our internal staff and teams receive timely and efficient services in collaboration with the organizations Managed Service Provider.

The IT Manager will work and communicate with staff at all levels in the organization to identify and develop processes and systems for IT and will collaborate with staff on technology solutions for various projects and initiatives. This position requires someone who is adept at researching and then enacting technology solutions while also paying keen attention to customer service and care. They must be able to explain highly technical information in clear and simple language. They will additionally be the first point of escalation for answering, translating, and making determinations on IT policies and procedures for staff.

Duties and responsibilities
Project Work

Work with different departments and teams to identify technology challenges and solutions particular to their work

Develop and implement project plans that streamline HRiAs IT systems and address current and future needs

Assist in the development of policies and procedures and monitor adherence

Maintain accurate systems documentation

Including network diagrams, FAQs (for staff and IT), procedures, etc

Collaborate with HRiAs technology vendors to incorporate changes to systems to ensure projects are completed on-time and in-budget
Management

Oversee vendor relationships and ensure the smooth delivery of services

Work with the technology team to ensure data security across all environments.

Work closely with the Director of Technology and vendors to help craft and execute on the long term organization technology roadmap.

Potentially oversee and mentor junior IT staff members
Thought Leadership

Drive various improvements to HRiAs systems.

Work to ensure all HRiA systems are functioning correctly and ensure the latest security requirements.

Bring a vision of Health and Racial Equity into the IT/ Technology sphere
Qualifications
Required qualifications

Five or more years of experience in IT within an organization

Experience overseeing a Managed Service Provider or other vendor management

Experience bringing systems improvements to an organization

Experience and comfort communicating at all levels in an organization including HRiAs senior and executive teams

Experience generating reports to support recommendations

Experience delivering on projects that are on-time and on budget

Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects (working both independently and cross-departmentally), problem solve, and to be solution-oriented.

Experience or understanding of automation or enhancing automation in an organization

Knowledge of or willingness to learn about public health

Commitment to advancing health equity and racial equity

Comfort working with stakeholders of diverse viewpoints and experiences ?

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
