Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a IT Logistics (Project Coordinator) for an existing government client. The place of performance for this contract is in Kingstowne, VA.

The IT Logistics (Project Coordinator) must have the ability to comprehend shipping, processes, procedures, and regulations.

MUST HAVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE

• Provide direct support to client users.
• Perform all client ordering thru the departments Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Direct, organize, and coordinate project equipment shipping activities, under the direction of the Team Lead.
• Perform document management activities associated with equipment, packaging and transportation.
• Perform data entry into the tracking system.
• Track and report on the status of material requisitions and the status of shipments.
• Assist in making required shipping arrangements for project equipment.
• Prepare and process all shipping documents.
• Perform inventory and maintain inventory records.
• Process shipping requests for overseas shipments and insure compliance for shipping regulations.
• Prepare reports and spreadsheets for management.
• Occasional domestic trips in the DMV.

• High school diploma plus five years of project coordinator related experience; degree preferred
• Possess in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Experience with IBM Maximo a plus.
• Must have the ability to comprehend schematics, manuals and other specifications to determine installation and troubleshooting procedures
• Must be able to comprehend shipping, processes, procedures, and regulations.
• Experience with configuring new Windows workstations and drives for replacements in existing machines and ensure the goals of the lifecycle deployment are fully met.
• Some formal training in computers is preferred such as from military or technical schools.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
