We are seeking an Investment Accountant to join our dedicated and high-performing team.

As the Investment Accountant, you will work closely with the fiscal team as it maintains the accounting and fiscal operations of the agency and its investment portfolio of nearly $20 billion.

Hiring Salary Range: $6,000-$7,000/month depending on experience.

The preferred location for this position is within the state of North Dakota, with the availability to telecommute to Bismarck, ND. There’s potential that a remote work arrangement outside the state of North Dakota may be considered for the successful candidate.

Summary of Work

• Review and reconcile investment manager data to custodian bank data and investment consultant data associated with the multi-billion-dollar investment program of the State Investment Board (SIB).
• Review and recalculate investment management fees and process for payment. Monitor and record all fee activity and prepare annual reports of investment expenses.
• Coordinate investment performance measurement reporting and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure investment client funds are in compliance with stated asset allocation policy targets, provide recommendations for rebalancing and process associated cash flows.
• Perform cash flow monitoring and accounting functions for investment program; including review of custodian bank statements, general ledger posting and related reconciling, and financial statement generation.
• Assist with annual audit and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) preparation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field and three years of professional accounting experience.
