US Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm said, “With what Virginia Transformer is doing, they are at the center of how we’re going to build out the backbone of our clean energy future.”The Inventory planner and analyst will plan, coordinate and manage inventory requirements for various plants and products manufactured by VTC/GTC

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Develop model for inventory projections based on factors impacting inventory

· Review of inventory at plants – analyze cause of out of time inventory and control plans.

· Manage data base in system in line with inventory levels identified.

· Conducts analysis of inventory on periodic basis and identify variances

· Corrective action for variances

· Periodic review of lead times and plant cycle time to update inventory

· Works with sales management to review forecast and inventory requirement for these forecast.

· Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.

· Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.

· Forecast value of inventory to be purchased on monthly basis, variance from standard, and required freight to obtain materials

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

· Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.

· Data analysis inferences of results

Education and Experience:

· At least five years of experience in related area required.

· At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.

· Degree in supply chain management/ inventory functions.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
