DESCRIPTION:

Inventory / Logistics Manager ensures that all Inventories, Distribution of product, Fleet programs and Initiatives are executed as designed by providing leadership and coordination of activities. This includes the direct responsibility for AZ Inventory control at all locations, ship/rec, and movement of materials between sites.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide product delivery status to the respective CCT/Planning Team member or any other interested party.
  • Ensure material is moving in a timely manner and this movement is accurately reflected in the system.
    • Develop efficient processes to execute all requirements placed on the department and develop/monitor metrics that will ensure the processes are working correctly and company goals are being met. .
    • Keep abreast of developments in stores control, receiving, disbursement of material and shipping of material that may be applicable to FM Industries.
  • Conducts, coordinates, and reconciles monthly inventory with a team of inventory analysis and support staff.

 Plans, directs and monitors routing (including Ship/Rec Departments) for all assigned facilities to ensure proper route and coverage between 4 facilities in Phoenix/Tempe

 Responsible for direction and coordination of route drivers to ensure maximum performance relative to product

 Performs regular inspections to ensure all commercial vehicles are in full compliance with company

standards.

 Assures timely and assertive responses to inspection findings, working closely with Company Safety compliance

managers.

 Must have negotiation skills to work with Third Party Carriers/Vendors should outside services be needed to

move product/provide services.

 Monitors company activities and assures improvement strategies are realized.


  • Perform employee evaluations in a timely manner and assist your supervisor in determining salary levels.
  • Perform routine administrative functions such as approve timecards, and schedule and record vacations
  • Prepare periodic and special reports to track the department’s performance against the Company’s/Department’s goals and objectives.
  • Implement the Company’s environmental, health and safety programs in all departments/units within their respective operations.
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001), as applicable.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, professional and regulatory agency standards, and licensure requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment in the successful EH&S management of chemical processes and facilities.
  • Responsible for the outgoing quality, safety and efficacy of all finished products and compliance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines and any other regulations that may apply.
  • Implements and maintains programs to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of the Area; Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT)/Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other Federal and State regulations.
  • Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations.
  • Ensures thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining.


RECOMMENDED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

    • APICS certification


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • BA or BS in Business or equivalent degree status
    • Seven to ten years’ experience in a contemporary Inventory/Logisitcs position
    • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management
    • Computer literate including, but no limited to, ERP systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Organization and planning skills
    • Analytical/writing skills
    • Ability to plan and manage complex projects
    • Ability to plan and execute presentations to large groups of people


PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:

    • The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, push, reach overhead and bend to the floor
    • The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle objects
    • The employee is frequently required to lift and move up to 15 pounds
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
