POSITION DESCRIPTION
Inventory Control/Cycle Counter is responsible for accurately counting inventory and assisting Senior Cycle Counter with researching inventory variances. Ensures procedures and processes are followed according to SOP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Inspections
- Ensure accuracy of all paperwork
- Research inventory discrepancies
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports various quality measures
- Assists with the activities of document control, including distribution of controlled documents and reports
- Prepares reports, labels, and inventory checks
- Follow all customer requirements
- Participate in staff and/or customer meetings, if required
- Assist supervision/management as needed
- Other duties/projects as assigned
- Actively participates in Hopkins Safety Programs, such as Safety & PIE help desks, behavior-based safety audits, safe work cards and reports all near misses and first aid events.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous forklift experience preferred
COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Forklift certification from Hopkins will be required and must be able to drive a forklift daily
- Strong reading, mathematical, communication skills, ability to work well with others required
- Ability to use RF scan guns and other required warehouse management systems

Work Environment: Work conditions are consistent with a general warehouse environment. Frequent exposure to the warehouse environment and periodic exposure to the manufacturing environment will require the understanding and use of PPE requirements applicable to each environment. The ability to tolerate extreme temperatures while in the production and warehouse environment is a requirement. Standing, walking, stooping and bending are frequent activities that must be physically tolerated while maintaining good workflow and applied ergonomics. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
