We are looking for an Inventory Auditor to join our Supply Chain team in Boise, ID! The Inventory Auditor is responsible for maintaining accurate physical control of inventory in our Operating Room (OR) environment. This includes order replenishment, issuing out items, picking orders, distribution, managing outdates using FIFO methodologies, cleaning storage environment and managing any return of supplies in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Works with the purchasing department and the main storeroom to provide accurate and exceptional products and customer service to the OR staff.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college course work in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration/Management, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • 6 to 12 months of experience in any one, or a combination of the following required: Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Material handling, Customer Service, Inventory Control or other comparable service line. 2-3 years of experience in OR setting preferred.
  • Experience with Supply Chain technology solutions (e.g., inventory control/hand held devices, bar coding, automated supply cabinets, and other expandable wireless products) required. Lawson or other ERP related experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Strong communication and great customer service skills in order to interface with patients and families, physicians, managers, staff, and vendors in an appropriate fashion.

  • Knowledge of basic billing (including consignment billing management and crediting procedures) preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of surgical procedure invasiveness and medical terminology preferred.
  • Become proficient with concepts and procedures described in the procedure manuals for inventory.
  • Monitors department stock daily to provide tracking mechanisms, accuracy, and knowledge of the materials management system.
  • Electronically orders daily and/or special supplies for surgery.
  • Electronically receives orders and maintenance of supplies for surgery.
  • Ensures correct orders have been received.
  • Manages implant and supply consignment.
  • Ensures consignment implant and instrument sets meet SARMC weight requirements.
  • Verifies content of implant and instrumentation sets owned by the vendor, upon arrival and departure from SARMC.
  • Works as a liaison with Logistics staff. Is responsible for ordering and maintaining logistics supplies for surgical areas.
  • Issues request for Purchase Orders for consigned product.
  • Provides Charge Audit with appropriate product information.
  • Generates charge labels for inventory control.
  • Assists with Inventory Item updates.
  • Provides proactive approach to ordering supplies for future surgical procedures.
  • Checks outstanding orders weekly and follows up with appropriate Purchasing staff.
  • Communicates backorders via e-mail to the appropriate Surgery Manager(s). Communicates backorders via whiteboard to Surgery staff.
  • Resolves billing discrepancies.
  • Processes equipment repairs and loaner requests as needed.
  • Resolves billing discrepancies.
  • Willingness to adjust competencies as necessary to meet requirements of position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
